About DSP Remote
From Trusted Roots, to Remote Skies
DSP Remote is the latest chapter in a long-standing commitment to the astronomy community. We’re an offshoot of Deep Space Products, a trusted, family-owned business based in Scottsdale, Arizona, that has been delivering premium astronomy equipment from Europe, Japan, and the U.S. since 2007.
Founded by Ed Thomas, Deep Space Products began with a single home-grown product and grew into a go-to resource for advanced amateur and professional astronomers alike. With over 16 years of experience in telescope and mount repair, upgrades, and system integration, Ed has earned a reputation for expert support and deep technical knowledge.
In 2021, Ed visited a partially occupied observatory facility with several underused buildings and saw the potential for something bigger. From that spark, DSP Remote was born — a place where serious imagers can host their systems in a secure, well-supported, and future-ready environment.
Since then, we’ve been steadily expanding — adding new customers, refining our services, and investing in infrastructure to create a world-class remote hosting experience. In 2024, DSP Remote LLC was born, led by a hands-on team that lives and breathes astronomy.
Whether you’re new to astrophotography or managing a professional-grade system, DSP Remote combines decades of experience, deep technical knowledge, and a passion for astronomy to help you reach further—without leaving home.
