Small Kit
$300/mo
≤ 38″ swing

Perfect for small mounts (Pegasus, Rainbow, ZWO) and compact scopes: 50–90 mm refractors, SCTs up to 8″.

Medium Kit
$450/mo
≤ 62″ swing

Ideal for larger strain-wave & worm-drive mounts (iOptron, Sky-Watcher, 10Micron, AP, SB) with 100–130 mm refractors or reflectors up to 11″.

Large Kit
$500/mo
≤ 74″ swing

Supports premium mounts (10Micron GM1000/2000, AP Mach1/1100, SB MyT/MX) and scopes over 140 mm, reflectors up to a CDK17.

Extra-Large Kit
$550/mo
≤ 86″ swing

Kit size depends on the dimensions of individual systems.

Swing diameter calculator

Which kit size are you?

Point A is your mount's center of rotation, where the RA and DEC axes meet. Measure a straight line from A to whichever part of your system reaches furthest out. Depending on the rig that might be the camera at the back, the front of the scope with the flat panel fully open, or something riding on top.

You only need one number, the longest one. That is your swing radius. Double it and you have the swing diameter we size kits by.

Add an inch or two (25–50 mm) for cable slack, focuser travel, and small differences in how a rig ends up sitting.

Why we ask: every telescope in the building rotates. We space them so that no two can collide at any orientation, and so someone can still get between them at night to help.

Enter your measurement above.
